Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Movie Trailer #2

Walt Disney Pictures has released a new movie trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time on IGN. The new trailer incorporates some of the new special effects footage from the Superbowl spot and new “Creating of an Epic” featurette, as well as a lot of never before seen sequences.

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands to continue ‘Sands of Time’ series

Ubisoft has just announced a new Prince of Persia — but it’s not a sequel to 2008’s polarizing adventure (if desired, add unhappy emoticons to sentence). Instead, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will continue the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time trilogy series, complete with “many of the fan-favorite elements” and “new gameplay innovations that gamers have come to expect from the Prince of Persia brand.” Oh, and an accompanying film!
You can catch the game’s premiere trailer on Spike TV’s Video Game Awards on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 8 p.m. EST. Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands is scheduled for release on “consoles and handhelds” in May 2010.

This poster makes me even more excited for this movie! Notice the similarities between his outfit here and the one in Warrior Within. Makes me have a little more faith that they aren’t bastardizing this franchise and actually care about making it a good movie. Click the images for a bigger view.

Prince of Persia film footage shows up [Gyllenhaal is still dreamy]

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything about the upcoming Prince of Persia movie adaptation. Lucky for us, Jerry Bruckheimer (the film’s producer) recently decided to show some footage of the film during an interview.
When asked what Jake Gyllenhaal brings to the film, Bruckheimer says, “Well, he’s very handsome.” Let this be a warning to all you out there. Gyllenhaal’s hotness may cause health complications. And that smile… (sigh)
Oh, and as for the movie itself, we’ll just have to wait and see if it’s any good when it hits theaters.

Not-so-hairy Prince of Persia is a hotty [Or at least that's what they tell me]

Looks like we can add sex appeal to the Prince of Persia movie set to come out next summer. Two new photos of Jake Gyllenhaal as the Prince Dastan have traveled across the interwebs and found their way to your favorite website (Binary Impact of course!). As a Persian myself, I know the man is clearly not hairy enough. Although I feel like having Jake as hairy as a Persian might be a minus point on the old hotness scale. The man’s just not built for that much hair so I have no problems here. I think he definitely looks the part. Anyway here are the pics and a link to a funny post by the guys at Kotaku below.
