Veoh Prevails in Infringement Lawsuit

A California court dismissed a copyright infringement case against Veoh yesterday, ruling that the Digital Millenium Copyright Act could not require sharing sites to be solely responsible for vetting the content they host. Veoh features millions of videos including TV shows, movies, indie productions, and viral videos. This could be good news for YouTube, which is currently in its own $1 billion lawsuit with Viacom.
